Wallyford Primary School

The Award Winning Wallyford Primary School is one of the largest Primary Schools in Scotland, providing 28 classrooms and four nursery classes, offering up to 120 pre-school places, as well as resources for wider use by the community, including a new library. The School has been designed with the future in mind, built with expansion plans for projected increases in school rolls. Its construction resulted in £5.8m social value for the local area and the building has received positive feedback from stakeholders. As the population of Wallyford grows, the school will be a community Hub positioned at the heart of the town.

It’s been fascinating to watch the project develop from its initial stages through to the successful handover. I’m especially pleased at the involvement that school staff and children have had throughout the construction process and the care that has been taken to take on board their views. The finished school provides an inspiring learning environment for staff and children that will continue to grow with the area.
